CHADKIRK PILGRIMAGE
Date: Thursday 25th September 2025.
Fr. Stephen has suggested a parish walk with a Mass at Chadkirk Chapel.
WALKERS- meet at Holy Spirit at 09:30 to depart and walk the 2.25 miles to Chadkirk
Chapel for Mass in the chapel at 11:00, and afterwards lunch at the Spread Eagle
at noon.
Pay for your own lunch individually.
DRIVERS- make your own way to Chadkirk Chapel to arrive no later than 11:00.
THERE WILL BE A LUNCH at the Spread Eagle public house (corner of Otters Pool Rd./Hatherlow
and Green Lane in Romiley) at 12 noon.
It is imperative that if you wish to come

The Spread Eagle has asked that if
wish to order anything other than the carvery, please pre-order by contacting Frank.
Please
pay for your own lunch individually.
After lunch there will be a walk back to the Holy Spirit along the Peak Forest Canal (3.3 miles), crossing Outram's beautiful aqueduct over the River Goyt.

9:30 Meet at Holy Spirit
9:40 Walk to Chadkirk Chapel (2.25 miles)
11:00 Arrive Chadkirk
11:10 Mass
11:40 Leave Chadkirk for Spread Eagle (0.5 mile)
11:55 Arrive Spread Eagle
12:00 Lunch at Spread Eagle
13:30 Walk back to Marple (3.3 mile)
15:30 Arrive back in Marple
